Blue balms are often compared to their #1 Star Blue Cocoon by May Lindstrom: that of De Mamiel is very different from the BC. The De Mamiel balm has an almost matte effect on the skin, it is less heavy and enveloping than the BC, which allows you to highlight it under your make-up (super duo with a make-up mineral!). The smell is quite green, and it is quite present. I find it soothing, but less enveloping than that of the BC. The jar is also smaller, and therefore a little cheaper to buy, which can be an advantage for some of us. It is PERFECT for damaged, fragile skin, even with acne. It's a real blue magic wand!"
