Dark circle concealer VS concealer: what's the difference?
Natural concealer and concealer have distinct functions. But most of the time, they are interchangeable and can be combined as you wish.
Concealer is the ally of a tired look. Its role is to intensely illuminate the eyes. Whether you're 20 or 60, 5 or 10 hours of sleep, make sure you always have one in your make-up beauty kit!
Natural anti-dark circles are reserved for the eye contour area. Its aim is to leave a luminous finish on shadowy areas and to attenuate skin pigmentation. So it's ideal for the inner corner of the eye and for dark circles. It instantly adds freshness to the eyes.
As for the corrector, its primary function is to correct imperfections. It is used to conceal skin imperfections present on the rest of the complexion. Whatever your skin type (sensitive, combination, oily...) it's your secret weapon for an immaculate complexion!

How to choose the right dark circle concealer?
When it comes to choosing an organic dark circle remover, it's all about colors and textures. Start with your needs and follow our advice on which organic, natural or even vegan concealer to choose.
First of all, there's the yellow concealer, to be applied before your anti-dark circles to cover blue or purple circles. In fact, in the chromatic circle, blue's complementary color is yellow. This means that these two colors cancel each other out. To neutralize your pinkish/purple circles, simply opt for an orange corrector. If your dark circles give a purple effect, opt for a salmon corrector. We recommend the 2nd Skin Jaune concealer from natural cosmetics brand 100% Pure or, if you don't like liquid concealers, opt for the compact powder version, like Lily Lolo's Lemon Drop concealer.
Follow up with a natural concealer with medium to full coverage. Choose a shade lighter than your skin tone to awaken your eyes. Be careful not to go overboard: if you use a natural concealer that's too light for you, you'll end up with an unflattering greyish finish.

The purpose of a color concealer is to counteract uneven skin tone. The best concealer for camouflaging redness is undoubtedly the famous natural green concealer! Its shade may scare you at first, but we promise you'll be pleasantly surprised by the results. Once again, it works with colorimetry, green being the complementary color of red.

As a first step, apply your green concealer sparingly. Then cover with a thin layer of natural or organic high-coverage concealer. It's very important to apply a concealer in the exact color of your skin tone. If your imperfections are raised, a shade that's too light will only accentuate their volume. Our favorite high-coverage concealers are Alima Pure Cream Concealer and Lychee Cream Concealer by make-up brand Ere Perez.
Then there's the nourishing organic concealer. Because they lack nutrition, dry skin tends to "drink up" the emollient phase (oils, butters) of a concealer or natural dark circle remover. The result: after a few hours, all that's left is pigment, which clings to the scales and makes dry patches stand out.
In this case, turn instead to a creamy, water-free organic concealer rich in nourishing active ingredients, like RMS Beauty's Cover-Up "Un" concealer. Apply it to your skin with fingertips or a dampened sponge, patting it in. That's all, no finishing powder!

How to apply concealer or corrector?
There are several ways to apply concealer, depending above all on the texture of your natural concealer.
Compact concealers are applied with the fingertips, warming the material a little and then tapping it onto the imperfection you wish to camouflage.
If they're liquid and have a built-in applicator, apply a few dabs of concealer to the imperfections you wish to cover up, then tap lightly with your finger. If the natural concealer doesn't have an applicator, you can apply it delicately with a brush, but it's best to finish off with your fingers for a more natural look.

For dark circles, it's best to choose a lighter, single-tone color to brighten and awaken the eyes. Don't choose a darker shade, which will make you look even more tired.
As for the natural complexion corrector, unlike the dark circle concealer, you should never apply a lighter color. This will draw the eye to the very area you're trying to camouflage, as there will be a lighter area on your face that isn't naturally light. It's also not advisable to choose a darker shade for your concealer, except for makeup experts, as this would enable them to contour or perform other techniques.
